Opened in 2009, Portland Marina was fasted-tracked to be ready for the 2012 Olympics, when Weymouth and Portland was the venue for the sailing competitions.  It is part of the Dean & Reddyhoff chain and offers berthing, dry stack, fuel and boatyard services.

There are other businesses on the site including shops and cafes open to the general public and diving facilities.  During the summer a waterbus service runs from the Marina to Weymouth Harbour.

The Marina is situated at the north end of the island, within Portland Harbour.
