We keep 7 litre kitchen food waste caddies, 23 litre kerbside food waste containers, and green glass boxes in stock at our offices on Three Yards Close. Pop in and see us during office hours which are Monday to Thursday from 10am until 3pm, to pick one up.

Bins are provided by Dorset Waste Partnership and do run out sometimes, especially after windy weather. We advise that you give us a call on 01305 821638 before you come to see us to make sure we have what you need in stock.

Dorset Council Highways are responsible for maintaining pavements and roads. Please report your problem directly to them by completing this form.

Hazardous road problems and obstructions that could cause injury or damage should be reported via Dorset Council's 24 hour highway emergency line.

The local planning authority for Portland is Dorset Council. All planning applications are decided by them.

Portland Town Council are however, an advisory body and are able to make comments on planning applications for Portland. Planning officers at Dorset Council consider these comments when making their decisions.
