The fees payments and sums fixed and settled under Section 15 (I) of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977, with effect from 1st April 2025

Fee

Exclusive rights for burial in earthen graves.

1. for the exclusive right of burial to a depth of 6 feet
   1. in an earthen grave 7 feet by 3 feet (children only) £400
   2. in an earthen grave 7 feet by 3 feet double plot only £830
2. for the exclusive right of burial of cremated remains in an earthen grave 2 feet by 4 feet single plot £350
   The fees indicated in the various headings of this part, include the cost of the Deed of Grant.
3. for the Transfer of the Exclusive Right of Burial £60

Interments

The fees indicated include the digging of the grave.

1. for the interment, in a grave, regardless of whether an exclusive right of burial has been granted
   1. of the body, or the cremated remains, of a still-born child, or of a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed 2 years. No Fee
   2. of the body of a child whose age at the time of death is between 2 and 18 years (burial) £150
   3. of the body of a person whose age at the time of death is over 18 years (burial) £830
   4. of cremated remains (cremation) £230
   5. Permission to scatter ashes in Burial Ground £60

Monuments, gravestones, tablets and memorials

For the right to erect or place on a grave or vault, in respect of which the exclusive right of burial has been granted:

The design of a memorial must have the prior approval of the Town Council.
