Portland's Mayor meets the Mayor of Holzwickede

Portland's Mayor, Councillor Pete Roper was invited by the mayor of our twin town of Holzwickede in Germany to attend the inauguration of their new town hall and community centre. At a reception attended by representatives of Louviers, Colditz, Holzwickede and Portland, Pete presented the mayor, Ulrike Drossel, with a piece of engraved Portland stone as a gift of friendship between Holzwickede and Portland.
