Portland Town Council is celebrating after receiving a Green Flag Award for both Victoria Gardens and Easton Gardens.

Victoria Gardens has been awarded the coveted Green Flag Award 2026-27 for the first time after achieving the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. And Easton Gardens has successfully retained the award for another year, which is a great achievement.

The Mayor of Portland, Councillor Pete Roper, visited both gardens today and shares our thanks and gratitude to the Portland Town Council Green Team for their continued hard work maintaining these green spaces. With thanks also to the Friends of Victoria Gardens and their volunteer gardeners who give up their free time to care for this area.

The Gardens are two of a record breaking 2,391 in the UK to achieve the award this year – a fantastic testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of the team who care for this green space, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard for visitors and residents to enjoy.
